Families are welcome at the Musei Reali!

The Musei Reali join the Born with Culture project and are part of the “kids & family friendly” museum circuit.
In 2022, they were recognized by UNICEF as “child and youth friendly museums”.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

BENEFITS
- Admission is free up to 18 years old, while for young people between 18 and 25 years old it costs 2 euros only.
- Admission is free for parents within the first year of their children’s age, thanks to the recognition of the Cultural Passport.
- Entrance is free for disabled people and their carers.
- Admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month, with mandatory reservation, and on special days.
FAMILY VISIT SERVICES
- For those who visit the Musei Reali with children, a UNICEF Baby Pit Stop is available with everything that you need for the care and nursing of the infant, in a welcoming space for the whole family located along the visit path of the Archaeological Museum. The changing table is also located in the toilets of the Royal Armoury and of the Archaeological Museum.
- There is a small and freely accessible educational room on the second floor of the Savoy Gallery.
- In the bookshop you can buy publications, toys and gadgets for children.
- The Lilliput exploration kit “Small steps in museums” is available on request by contacting the dining room staff on the first floor of the Savoy Gallery, to explore the museum with fun and creativity.
WORKSHOPS, VISITS AND ACTIVITIES
To families and young visitors we propose a calendar of meetings, workshops and special visits, with informal and engaging educational activities, where space to creativity is given and the interaction between adults and children is favoured.
RECOMMENDED ROUTES AND RESOURCES
Those who prefer to visit the Musei Reali in autonomy, can:
- explore the Musei Reali by following the Suggested Itineraries.
- listen to the Kids Audioguide, to learn about the stories of the Musei Reali told by the voices of kings and queens, warriors, artists and many other real or imaginary characters. QR codes are in the rooms.
- discover news and curiosities with the Kids Gallery in the Archaeological Gallery, to better understand the past and compare it with our time. QR Codes are in the rooms.
- use the Social Story to visit the Royal Palace.
- play with Artoo, the free app dedicated to children, also available outside the museum, which allows you to explore together with an adult some masterpieces of the Savoy Gallery, share your ideas with your peers and with a friendly bear that loves painting.
- play with MRT Play, temporarily suspended for maintenance.
